Emission of Volatile Organic Compounds from Consumer Products

چکیده

The total volatile organic compound (VOC) content and VOC composition of 12 consumer products is determined using the headspace method chamber testing. Several hazardous or toxic VOC’s are present in abundance. Some from same category vary significantly terms species. Spray adhesive for this study have high contents. results show that three spray adhesives low moisture (0-35.87 wt.%) a (63.41-99.52 but other six with (72.51-96.92 lower (0.75-19.43 wt.%). Three one car cleaner (spray product) emit significant amounts VOC’s, including large solvents some substances. Therefore, direct contact should be avoided household environment. by can used to calculate emissions establish an inventory. All detectable emission factors each product range 6.77-924 mg g-1. factor individual better characterize as sources material. test pertain indoor air quality determine risk exposure.
